Peaceful Paddles: Willard Pond July 23, 2026
“The SuperSanctuary is blessed with an abundance of water…there’s a certain irreplaceable beauty that can only be found on the water in a canoe or a kayak.” - MicroExploring the SuperSanctuary
MicroExploring is not just about hiking. When summer is here, there’s no better way to enjoy the SuperSanctuary than to take to the water. You’ll beat the bugs, get closer to nature, and allow peace to enter as you seek inner calm.
On this Dreamcatchers MicroAdventure, we’ll take you into the heart of the SuperSanctuary, Willard Pond. A true sanctuary, this wild, 100-acre pond is home to loons and eagles and features iconic views of Bald Mountain, watching over this beloved treasure. We’ll drift and dawdle, pontificate about the points of paddling, learn some of the cultural and natural history of the region, and use all of our senses to enjoy what the morning brings our way.
Kayaks, paddles, and pfds will be provided by Monadnock Paddle. Both beginners and experienced paddlers are welcome on this easygoing paddle of the wild corners of Willard. We will be serving specialty Costa Rican coffee.
