Costa Rica produces some of the best coffee in the world and you’ll see why as we explore the majestic highlands of the Valle Central— the home of the coffee region. You will get to understand the massive impact that this simple bean had and still has on the history, culture and economy of Costa Rica. In this trip we will dive straight into the wonderful world of coffee by visiting Troubardour’s coffee farm where we will join in and participate in the harvest as we learn everything about growing and processing high-quality coffee at our bird-friendly farm.

25% of Costa Rica is composed of national parks or protected areas and we will be visiting some of the most beautiful natural sites of Costa Rica so we can expose our souls to the beauty of the country and get up close to the wildlife.

Costa Rica is home to over 850 bird species and contains some of the richest biodiversity on the planet! We’ll search for and appreciate the wide diversity of unique birds including hummingbirds, parrots, antbirds, herons, hawks, and so many more. By traveling to a diversity of habitat types, our chances are increased to see a wide diversity of birds. Expert bird guide, Phil, who has guided several previous Costa Rica birding trips, is eager to share some of these gems with you.

The pace of this trip is both active and relaxed, with ample time dedicated to easy physical adventures combined with relaxing time off to enjoy the calm beauty of nature.

Coffee & Birds in Paradise IV is going to open up a world that we’ve been exploring for decades and which hopefully helps you discover not just Costa Rica, but perhaps even parts of your very self.

Ignacio and The Dreamcatchers changed my life. I was in a rut and needed something to wake me up out of my funk. Ignacio read my mind and gave me an experience that not only changed my perspective but made me realize how wonderfully spontaneous life can still be. The trip made me more open to new experiences, more optimistic about people and simply more happy the weeks and months that followed. Do yourself a favor and call The Dreamcatchers.
